Description
7171349 Cone Screen used on some older Sears, North Star, and some G.E. softeners.
This part is installed in the end of the brine tubing where the Ferrule Nut screws on to the Nozzle Venturi Housing.
It is NOT Needed, nor Recommended.
** You do not need or want a screen IN the Tubing.
There are 3 other screens already ( bottom of Brine Assembly, bottom of housing, and over the Disc in the housing ).
Screens in the tubing clog too easy, and are generally impossible to remove later for cleaning.
