Seal & Spacer Kit 60121 for Main Piston used on Older Fleck 1500, and 2500.
Also used on newer 2510, 2700, 2750, and 2900 upper piston.
And many similar valves sold under Brands such as MacClean, CUNO, Aqua Pure, Wolverine, etc.
NOTE: The Seals and Spacers need replacing when you have "internal" leaking of the Valve.
This would be constant flow out the drain line, or failure to create suction ( after injector and brine valve check out okay ), or hard water getting into the house when everything else appears to be working fine.
If the Valve is Leaking from the Front of the Main Piston, you Must Replace the Main Piston Assembly to stop this type of EXTERNAL Leak.
NOTE: It is difficult sometimes to get all the old seals and spacers out, but a stiff piece of wire and basic hand tools will do the job.
Replacing the Seals is almost impossible to do without the special
"stuffer" tool. The stuffer tool includes directions for it's use. And can be rented ( 1/2 price ) for 30 days.
Kit 60121 INCLUDES:
( 6 ) Seal, pn 10545
( 5 ) Spacer, pn 11451
( 1 ) End spacer, pn 10757Approximate O.D. is 3.46 cm ( or roughly 1 3/8" )
NOTE: MacClean Kit # 60121-C uses a larger "end spacer" ( re-use your old one ) instead of the small white end spacer ( 10757 ) in this Kit ( 60121 ).
IF you lose or can not re-use this part, there are ways to "make" one.
CUSTOMER WROTE:
I ended up using two of the old spacers, ground off raised rim from both sides on them, plus white ( 10757 included in new kit ) so the first seal had something to seal to.
These 3 together are equal to the unavailable part ( larger white end spacer in MacClean/Cuno valves ).
I did try a 3/4" piece of PVC first but it's "OD" is the same ID as the seals and spacers, so I was afraid the seals would move onto the PVC pipe over time and throw alignment off causing an internal leak/bypass.
ANOTHER WROTE:
I turned a piece on 1"ID PVC to the proper length and OD. Made it short enough to use with white spacer in the kit (10757).

The "puller tool" is not necessary ( I've always removed without it ),
