Description
Puller Tool used to extract Seals and Spacers, part 17623, used to make removing the Seals and Spacers of the Fleck 2850 and 9500 Valves easier
.
This tool is not as necessary as the Stuffer Tool ( 16516 ) when rebuilding the valve body.
********
The PULLER TOOL is made to be inserted into the center of the Spacers, and some "prongs" will extend outward when you "release" the end of the Tool, and this gives you a good "grip" ( prongs go into the holes of the Spacer ) and leverage ( you have the end of the tool to grasp on to ), and makes it easier to pull them out. Works, great, but you have to decide if it's worth the cost.
If you do these a lot, then yes, it will make the job easier and save you time ( and time = money in most cases ).
The Puller Tool, PN 17623,

**
Please note, that new "2850s" valves are slightly larger.
And use this Puller Tool, PN 42228,

The old 2850 valve body is a bit smaller diameter, so the "old" tool is made to work with those. And I don't know if the larger ( newer 2850s ) could also be pulled with the older version of the Puller.
I've never had my hands on / worked on either the 2850 or the newer 2850s valves.
