With this adapter a new Fleck, or Hankscraft valve can be installed on your Culligan tank.( also works with other brands of residential valves, such as Autotrol 255, 268, and Clack WS1 ). You can Re-Use your resins in most cases, SEE: Resin Replacement GuideAnd the brine tank can be re-used, BUT you will NEED from 3/8" O.D. Tubing, and this 1/4" female x 3/8" compression fitting,1/4 F x 3.8 C Fitting Plastic JacoAnd we recommend "Lock Leak" to seal the connection: Thread Sealant Lock Leak Tube 39 MLWe recommend a new Fleck 5600 or Hankscraft equivalent Valve head.You'll need to order with a piping YOKE or By Pass Option ( 3/4" or 1" thread connections ). We include a bottom ( MD1236 ) and top distributor ( MD1203 ) with each new valve ordered. This allows you to construct a new distributor tube for your resin tank out of 3/4" PVC pipe ( it's O.D. is the 1.05" required ). Your old one will be too short with the adapter on your tank. How to Replace Your Old Valve
NOTE: This Adapter is not recommend if you are on "city" water and the pressure is not regulated to 75 psi or less. If pressure is higher than 75 psi, we recommend replacing the Resin Tank to a standard threaded tank and then you can re-use the Resins, and Install a Fleck or Autotrol Valve.
