Comes Assembled inside 30" x 4" Brine Well
This is the sized used for most residential Brine tanks that are 30" - 36" in height.
If your tank is 40", then you'll want the 36" tall version ( BW4036-474 )

Clack's 474 Brine Safety Float Pickup Tube available in three heights ( 30", 36" or 46" ) and can replace most old brass type brine shut off assemblies.

The Shut Off Float Rod extends down about 10" from the top ( or 13 inches from the bottom ).
The 9.5 (overall length)float assembly is designed to be used as a safety back-up floatand is attached by a pin.

This position is the 40% - 50% level of a residential size brine tank ( which are 30 - 36 inches tall ), but below any Overflow fitting you might have ( usually installed about the 75 - 80% height level of the brine tank ).

NOTE: Not Recommended for a Kinetico unit due to the constant pressure on the brine line of those systems.
