(2) 38F & 39F
( valve tank adapter to by pass or piping boss )
Old part number 150A144.
New Kit part number 1040459 ( includes new o-rings PN = ( 2 ) 1010411 and ( 1 ) 1010431 )
These are the o-rings that go between the By Pass ( old or new version )
OR Piping Boss ( manifold, yoke ), and the Tank Adapter ( old 155 or newer 255 version use the same o-rings ).
Also, these 3 o-rings used between the Tank Adapter and the
meter turbine assembly ( if you have the 460, 960, or 760 timer used on your valve ).
INSTALLATION TIPS:The most important thing I learned when dealing with this Connection ( besides the need for new o-rings and
silicone ) is that the o-rings are put on the Valve body side First, and then the By Pass or Yoke ( piping boss ) must be pushed on straight ( not one side then the other ), and when "bolting" it back together, you would
first make each bolt hand tight, before using tool to "really" tighten each one.
It's important that everything is straight, and that no pressure ( up, down, or either side ) is being applied. Either while attaching, or if after attached, by the water pipes ( not pulled up, down or to one side or the other ).
The last item is a problem we have seen with many brands / types of By Pass connection. If pipes are pulling on the connection, it increases the chance for a "leak".
