  4. Uniflex Tank Adapter - Check for Threaded Valve Head
Some Valves used on UNIFLEX tanks

May have threads on them which would allow them to be used on Standard Threaded Replacement Tanks.
That have threaded opening:

So you need to see if your Valve Body will UNSCREW
from the Adapter used to Clamp to the UNIFLEX Tank.

* But Some.. will not have threads on the valve body, and therefore can NOT be re-used on standard threaded tanks.
You'll need to purchased a new valve and a new tank in those cases, as the UNIFLEX tanks have been discontinued ( unavailable ) for many years.

valve base no threads

Note: When moving the Valve ( once unscrewed from the adapter ) to a new threaded tank,
you will need to also replace the Distributor ( Riser ) Pipe that goes into the tank,
as the pipe in most UNIFLEX tanks will not "fit" the opening of a standard threaded tank.
Reference this photo as to what you'll find inside most UNIFLEX tanks:

You can easily make a new Single Pipe Riser with the Bottom Distributor MD1236
and some 3/4" PVC pipe.
