Description

Transformer RSMGT2440P - 24 volt AC with GROUND

Replacement Transformer - Output = 24 volt AC at 40 VA,

without Power Cord - Plugs directly into electrical outlet ( or possibly an extension cord would be used ).

120 volt input and 24 volts - 40 volt amps rating.

Replaces Rainsoft PN = OTE-40-24-ACDC-N PTC, also referenced as PN 17000.

CABLE used to connect from the Transformer to the Valve Control is sold separately ( Cable - Rainsoft 2 wires 18 AWG and Connector = PN RS92616A )

NOTE: There is not "+" or "-" ( polarity ) on this or any other AC ( alternating current ) transformer.

So, either power cord wire can be connected to either end terminals labeled AC.
Polarity only applies to DC ( direct current transformers ).

Also NOTE: This transformer includes a 3rd wire ( Center - Ground marked GND ) - that space is left empty in some Rainsoft transformers.
This Ground connection is optional. If you unit has 3 wires, then you can connect accordingly.

If you only have 2 wires, then you can ignore the center "Ground" connection, as it is not needed when volt is only 24 volts.
