SOLAR PANEL ADAPTER CABLE PN V3849
To able to connect to the NEWER versions of the
Circuit Board V4072SP for Solar Clack Valve
Older boards and solar panels used ( 2 ) bare wires ( black and red ).
Newer boards since 2025 use a PIN connector,
REQUIRING an Adapter Cable ( V3849 )
o allow you to use / connect your old Solar Panel wires to the new board.
Older PN V3836SP-01BOARD as seen in some service manuals
Our 2020 manual lists the "newer" V4072SP-03BOARD part number.
NOTE: If you have a solar system now,
the board is normally BLANK ( to conserve power ),
and only lights up when you touch a button.
* Also NOTE: The solar board needs a good battery connected to operate;
Adding a transformer like the V3186-06 will only charge the battery.
Once a functioning battery is connected, the board can be woken up by pushing one of the buttons.
The board will not function with just the V3186-06 transformer,
if you don’t want to use a battery
then you would need a different board
and cover like a V3108 board to convert to non-solar operation of the valve.
