Whole House Carbon Filter with 1 cu.ft. of Highly Activated Cocunut Carbon ( 12 X 40 Mesh ), 9 x 48 tank, Clack In & Out Head, with BY PASS ( V3006 ) and your choice of the 3/4" / 1" PVC ( V3007-01 )or 1" male threaded ( V3007 ) connections.


The IN & OUT carbon tank system is a simple yet effective means of improving the quality of drinking water in any home that is supplied by a municipal water system ( "city" water ) treated with chlorine.
The system has no moving parts and includes of a rust proof, poly-glass tank which contains a special, high quality activated carbon filter media bed and a distributor head that directs the flow of water through the media bed. The special carbon filter media has been particle sized to provide the most efficient reduction of taste and odor caused by chlorine.

After 2 - 5 years you will need to replace the carbon and gravel under bedding.

*** INSTALLATION ***
* You want to follow the
"Replace Media" directions ( steps 6 - 10 ):

And at STEP 8, since the IN & OUT head is not a "Valve", you'll want to connect the head in reverse after putting the gravel and carbon into the tank.
Connect your water source to the side of the Head marked "OUT",
and slowly turn the water on, and let it flow in reverse ( input the "OUTLET" side and flowing out the "INLET" )
for about 10 minutes ( until water turns from BLACK to CLEAR ).

Then you are ready to connect in the normal direction.
IN the INLET.
OUT the OUTLET.

And this should be installed BEFORE the Water Softener.

Tank dimensions 9" x 48", comes with distributor pipe, In & Out head with top distributor, 1 cu.ft. Carbon, Gravel, and Funnel ( to help pour the gravel, then carbon into the tank ).
