And that number is molded into the plastic.Replacements have large handle at one end, as shown in our alternate photo.This is how they are made now ( since 2012 ).The center to center spacing for the threaded connector is approx 2 1/4" And the center to center spacing for the mountings that go into the water softener itself is about 3 3/8 of an inch. Connection to plumbing is 1" threaded. You can use the metal adapters nuts with copper tubes, or connect directly to the male threads using any 1" female piping connections sold at plumbing supply / hardware stores.* NOTE: Can be used in place of ( if re-plumbing your pipes ), similar By Pass 7278434 ( WS15X10053 ) that requires separate "adapters" for the plumbing connections.
