7000 Board UD Sync ( UD 5y nc ) Error
7000 Board UD Sync ( UD 5y nc )
UD Sync is an encoder ( optical sensor ) issue. This usually means,
The board is not installed correctly on the unit causing the encoder not to be aligned with the slotted gear.
Therefore not being able to "see" where the valve is currently positioned or if it has moved to next position.
COULD BE:
Slotted gear is not centered between the two sensors on the backside of the board,
Issue with slotted gear,
a slot plugged with debris or a broken slot.
OR
Capacitor wasn’t drained, erasing the last known position the valve currently is not in.

UD Sync is the 2 sensor eyes which cannot read the slotted gear that passes between them.
UD Sync means it is looking for the "service" position.
If it cannot find it the timer will stay in UD sync.
