  4. 460TC - Offsetting the Timers - Filter and Softener operation - to prevent running at the same time
When two valves are controlled by the 460TC timers, and you need them to run on different nights,
You can:
OFF SET DAYS,
To "off set" the digital timer, you can leave one unplugged for 1 day.
Have them SET to the same frequency ( Days... every 3rd is default ).
By leaving one unplugged and started up one day later ( plug in and set time ), that will make sure they are running of different nights.

OR

OFF SET TIME OF DAY,
Most dealers would have them go the same night,
And to keep them off set ( never running at the same time ),
They would SET the Time of Day on the Filter 2 hours fast ( causing it to start at 12 midnight )
and
SET the Time on the Softener to actual time of day ( causing it to start at 2 a.m. ).

Either way will keep them from running at the same time.

NOTE:
And since we have been asked, let me say, once programmed and running,
There is no way to tell when the next regeneration will be ( what night ), or when the last regeneration occurred by looking at the timer.
However,
It will start over counting the days between regenerations, if you CHANGE the days setting.
Example:
Set to 3 ( default ) after plugging IN and setting Time of Day, then on the 3rd night it will RUN ( at 2 a.m. ).
