1.05 Top Distributor Twist On Style used on Newer ( since 1997 ) Fleck, Clack, and Autotrol Control Valves.
D1203 top distributor fits the Autotrol ( Pentair, GE Osmonics ) 255 since 1997.
And recommended for all Performa ( 263 and 268 )
* Note: While optional for standard sized water softener's with RESIN tanks only filled 50 - 60% full,
This "top distributor basket screen" is NECESSARY if the Resin tank is short ( under 44" ) or if Extra resin has been added ( like the addition of Tannin removal resins ),
AND it is Mandatory when using CARBON as the media in the tank ( any size tank ).

I am installing the distributors and it almost seems the top is meant to twist the wrong way. There are two lips in my valve preventing it from turning but seem like there would be room if it spun the other way, do you have suggestions before I trim the plastic?
*** Push in, and Twist so it will "snap" into place and "lock".
I confirmed with shipping that you were sent the correct "Beige" colored Top Distributor, that is "made" to work with the Performa ( and really any valve ).
Do not "trim" anything.
Just "twist" into the slots ..... which will "bend" the plastic that is "in your way".
It's that little bit of plastic that will hold it in place ( preventing it from coming back off later ).
