NOTE: This is the original Catalytic coal based carbon, and generally last longer then coconut shell equivalents.
In most applications this version has proven to be superior.
Catalytic Carbon removes both chloramine and hydrogen sulfide from potable water, and works best when "air" or "oxygen" is be added to the water before the Carbon, or the Carbon is regenerated with Chlorine ( which is an oxidizer ).

The product is special in that it concentrates reactants via adsorption and then promotes their reaction on the surface of the pores. Catalytic Carbon is produced from bituminous coal or with equivalent brands from coconut shells, using a special processing. Although it is not impregnated with metals or alkali, it displays the catalytic function of these materials. In most cases, it can be reactivated.
