Small section of 13/16" pipe is included for the backwash tube. This tube must be cut a length 7" shorter than the resin bed depth, so you don't need a long piece. The main distributor tube can be made with 3/4" PVC pipe.
If your Valve uses a 13/16" opening, then you can insert a small section of the 13/16" pipe into the center of the 3/4" PVC Sch 40 pipe.

NOTE: While PVC cement can be used to assembly the parts, the manufacturer recommends using MEK ( Methyl Ethyl Ketone ), sometimes called Butanone, which can be usually be found near the Turpentine section of large hardware stores.

NOTE: It is recommended to increase the Control Valve's backwash flow control rate by 30% when using a Turbulator.
