Tester measures the Total Dissolved Solids ( TDS ) in your water.
If TDS is above 80 ppm, it will Test BAD, otherwise, the Green GOOD light will come on.
NOTE: Works on all City water or most well water whose starting TDS is less than 1000 ppm.
How do you know if it's time to replace the RO Membrane?

Reverse Osmosis Membranes have an average life of 2-4 years.
I have seen them go bad in only 1 year.
Testing the water is the only sure way to know if it's time to replace the RO Membrane.

With a TDS TESTER you can always check the quality of your reverse osmosis water.
Test the water coming from your reverse osmosis faucet.
